attempting to draw blood for an ABG and labs using universal precautions. After withdrawing the butterfly needled I was attempting to engage the safety sheath when it did not deploy as it normally does and the needle bounced back and stuck my hand through my glove. I immediately removed my glove and flushed my hand under the sink and went to report to [REDACTED].
