Associate was performing several different manual and repetitive tasks in the Refer Department.

What happened

Associate felt increasing pain over time while performing standard work in the Refer department in [REDACTED] over a period of 9 months. These tasks include receiving product from a conveyor and placing it into cubby holes. Taking those items from the cubby holes and placing into a box. Later down the line those boxes are then labeled emplaced with dunnage and ice and taped. The boxes are then placed onto the conveyor line for shipment by another department. Boxes are also prepared for packing by placing small blocks of ice in each one. All of these tasks conducted in a refrigerated environment. Fine motor movement and pinching grasp is used to pick items from the cubby hole as well as placing labels. Associate was being rotated to different positions throughout the day in accordance with the 4E. Associate was rushing during their work shift which has been 4 (12-hour) days for the [REDACTED].
