Employee was building a door frame and was nailing 2 wood cleats together using a nail gun and 1 1 2 long pin nails. He was nailing a 90 degree corner together.

Pin nail gun somehow hit employee 's left hand backside of thumb and pin nail entered hand and lodged between the second and third digits piercing the two bones. Employee thought that the nail hit a hard spot on the wood and jumped.
