Employee was perforating the gasket lining

During a task a fabricating employee used a portable cantilever cart to hold a window frame while perforating the gasket lining. They used a hand drill with their right hand and held the frame steady with their left hand. The employee 's left-hand glove got caught in the drill resulting in an injury on the dorsal side of their left hand. Standard operating procedures require employees to use the jig instead of the cantilever cart to clear predrilled holes.
