I began the phlebotomy procedure and my donor began to have a reaction. The donor stated she felt nauseous and she was sweating profusely I decided to stop the procedure so that the reaction did not progress. I was wearing the vinyl white gloves. I pulled the needle and my finger slipped causing the needle to come straight out and cut my finger. I did not realize it had cut my finger until I removed the gloves to don new ones. I notified my supervisor immediately.
