On [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] US FOODS selector [REDACTED] was working on the cold dock when the incident occurred The employee stated that they were wrapping their pallets after finishing a work assignment when they were struck by a forklift The incident did involve other employees The injury was due to poor communication and not being aware of the surroundings Contributing factors include lack of communication The employee was offered first aid which they declined at this time and selfcared by wrapping his wrist The employee resumed working immediately after reporting the incident did not want medical treatment and preferred to finish their shift The following day the employee returned to work and only was able to work half the shift before stating that their wrist was hurting
