Diaphragm was broke off during install of new motor on previous shift They capped the line While troublehooting our employee turned off pump and proceeded to remove the cap while wearing his faceshield and gloves Cap was approx eye level a few feet away Removing cap caustic sprayed onto employees face shield and they bent back Caustic then splashed on his face and some in his eyes
