Working on tooling for a press.

A tool room journeyman was working with [REDACTED] to press out a shaft from the lathe at the hydraulic Arbor press in the toolroom. The initial movement was slow and steady. As they continued to apply force to the shaft to push it out of the housing it suddenly let loose. When the shaft came loose [REDACTED]’s hand was underneath of the shaft and in between the cross beam of the press causing a laceration and hit his hand with force.
