Using a long metal pole to jam trash down to unblock the compactor.
What happened
Using a long metal pole to stab or jam trash down to unblock the compactor. Lost grip of the pole while pushing down the trash shoot resulting in his hand falling down (against the inside of the metal shoot of the compactor) and the pole sticking the top of his left hand. Left middle finger was smashed cut and damaged the nail bed.
