Moving a drum of acid

The employee incorrectly handled the drum. The drum was moved with the cap removed and this goes against our procedure. When the drum was set back on ground the acid splashed out of the open cap and made contact with his eye.

The chemical exposure to the eye was very painful that day but had no long term injury. The employee has gained full vision in both eyes as well as it was before the incident. He returned to full duty work right away.
