What happened
Employee was returning from taking a patient to the ER and was holding the door open with her body. When she went to move the door closed on her pinky finger. Staff coming back from dropping a patient at ER came into building and got her pinky on her left hand caught in door between door and frame. Tip of pinky was cut off and fell to the ground. Arrived to facility from dropping off a patient and coworker at the emergency room. With trash in right hand employee badged in to the front right door and stepped into the doorway. She swung her right leg over her left leg to dump the trash in the trashcan on her left using her lower back bottom to hold the door open. Employee 's hand was on the door frame and when she moved away from the door after dropping the trash the door closed completely and she felt a pinch. Using her back to push the door open again and pull her hand out the tip of her pinky finger (to the first knuckle) fell to the floor.
