What happened
EE was moving a pallet in position to nail. He nailed a few deck boards and then moved the nail gun away from the pallet. As he was moving the nail gun he moved his left hand but kept his finger on the trigger of the nail gun and the palm of his hand made contact with the nose of the nail gun and it shot a nail into his hand.
