What happened
Employee was returning back to day room from toileting patient. [REDACTED] instructed writer to seat patient and assist with containing another patient who was becoming aggressively combative. Writer engaged by assisting to restrain patient while medication was being obtained at this time patient was scratching attempting to bite kicking yelling and trying to get out of the chair. Staff moved patient out of day room to seclusion room. During interaction writer was scratched multiple times. Writer was advised to be seen in the ER. Right wrist was feeling sore sprained.
