Before the incident
Twice an hour I have move a metal cart from the work area and back it off into the staging-off load area then push a new cart into the working area. I was pulling the yellow cart with parts in the dunnage. when I tried to stop the cart by stepping on the brake they did not engage causing the to the cart to continue to move towards my body. I stepped back on my left leg to try and stop the cart when I felt a sharp pain in my left calf. Now I can barely put any weight on it. PC [REDACTED] present while interviewing employee.
