Before the incident
Employee was loading coil rod into the 11 ' straight cut machine. Employee was loosening the dies on the arbor of the machine with a tool and rotating the arbor in the jog mode.
What happened
Employee alleges that at 2300 hours he left a tool in the machine. He turned on machine in jog mode the tool swung and struck his right hand. Employee has abrasion on hand. No self care done. Hand is swollen. EE cannot make a tight fist. EE referred to provider due to loss of function.
