What happened
Employee was using a 7 in grinder to prep part for our welding process. The part was a expansion doghouse 42in long for a tank assy. He was trying to bevel the ends of doghouse for better fit up for the welding process and after finishing 1 side of the doghouse and started grinding the second side. While grinding the second side the grinder kicked back. THe employee was using 2 hands to operate the grinder 1 on the grinder body and the other on the safety handle on the left side. When the grinder kicked back it came out of his left hand and twisted his right wrist. His fingers came off of the trigger and the grinder head disk made contact with his left forearm.
