Dump truck was set up at excavation site to backfill site with gravel. Worker walked from behind dump truck into the swing radius of the backoe bucket & was struck in the left side shoulder causing him to fall into the excavation area. Once in the hole gravel was dumped on top of him before the equipment operator was alerted to the accident
