Helping to clean the grinder

I went down into the grinder pit with another operator ([REDACTED])as it is required that 2 people be in the grinder pit at the same time as a buddy system. Both of us locked out the grinder. We had some questions around opening the grinder as it is not our normal line. therefor the grinder is not as familiar. [REDACTED] went to find the material handler ([REDACTED]) that has more experience with this grinder. [REDACTED] came down and answered the questions. The grinder was mostly clean and open. [REDACTED] felt an air wand was needed to clean more thorough so he went upstairs to retrieve one and came back down. [REDACTED] then locked out the machine and began rotating the arbor and the arbor stopped suddenly which meant there was some sort of jam. As [REDACTED] worked to unclear the jam parts fell out of the grinder to the floor. [REDACTED] leaned down to pick up the parts and my intentions were to put my hands on the top of the grinder but I judged it wrong and my hands went in betwe
