employee was attempting to open a rail gate for paint prep employee released the arm that hooks over the rail gate platform and placed hand on the plate and hit the switch to raise gate out of the slot to be able to let the platform down the employee went to for up with the platform and got finger caught between the plate and the stop which is about 8 higher to keep gate from going up to high when in operation
