Replacing a singulator take up roller and bearings.

Technician was assisting in replacing a Singulator Take Up Roller and bearings. After having guided the roller through the center of the belt into the opposite frame the technician was positioning the near end of the roller into the slotted frame. As the technician positioned the roller into place the roller shifted further than anticipated pinching the technicians right middle finger between the roller and slotted frame where the roller came to rest. The technician sustained a laceration to his right middle finger.
