On [REDACTED] at [REDACTED] Employee was involved in accident while walking on the street. As he was walking down [REDACTED] delivering mail he took 1 to 2 steps and his leg and foot proceeded to go down a sewer hole that he didn 't know was open. The sewer hole was not blocked off and workers in the area did not give any type of warning He tried to continue his route but he was in pain and leg was bleeding.
