Employee was loading mail onto the Low-Cost Tray Sorter.

FT mail handler stated on [REDACTED] while loading mail onto the Low Cost Tray Sorter a tray got stuck in the feeder of the machine. The machine usually cuts the straps from the trays when it 's not jammed. She stated that she pulled the tray from the feeder of the machine and proceeded to cut the strap from the tray. In the process of cutting the strap from the tray she also cut her left forearm. This resulted in the employee having a deep cut in her arm. I assisted her with cleaning and wrapping the wound.
