At approximately [REDACTED] on [REDACTED] Carrier was delivering mail to the [REDACTED]. After delivering the mail Carrier had a parcel to deliver to [REDACTED] which is the house directly behind the NBU box. Carrier walked the parcel to the door delivered the parcel and walked back to the truck. As he stepped onto the cement platform that the NBU Box sits on his foot got caught in the space between the platform and the curb. This caused his ankle to roll. THE carrier lost his balance falling backwards pinning his right lower leg under himself bending his lag back. As he fell back he hit his elbow on the groundbreaking his fall. The carrier rolled onto his stomach to push himself up. He got up and continued to deliver mail until his ankle and knee stated to swell to where he was limping. He delivered 6 more NBU Boxes until he couldn 't bear the pain and returned to the station.
