What happened
During operations after just coming off an 18 hour day with very minimal rest an experienced maintenance colleague made the unfortunate lapse in judgement and proceeded to start using the plasma cutter forgetting their hood. The colleague managed to catch and correct their mistake but the brief interval of working without the hood was enough to cause a flash burn to their eyes. The colleague tried to tolerate the discomfort but the burn built and he was taken to the clinic.
