What happened
On [REDACTED] Rural Carrier employee stopped to deliver a parcel at [REDACTED]. She parked at end of driveway along the road. Exited the Metris with a parcel to deliver to front door. Carrier walked down driveway and didn 't see the [REDACTED] tied to a stage behind customers vehicle. Customer was outside washing his motorcycle. Once carrier reached the vehicle the [REDACTED] broke from rope and attacked carrier and bite a chunk out of the front of her right leg near knee cap. Carrier was taken to memorial hospital for treatment by ambulance and released the same day. Shot records were verified. Location entered in RIMS. Dog is moving will notify new carrier route of the dangerous dog.
