What happened
HEAT STRESS - Employee reported heat stress and dehydration. 911 was called EMS responded and the employee was transported via ambulance to Alamance Regional Hospital for evaluation and treatment. When speaking to paramedics the employee noted that she came to work with a headache and did not hydrate the night before. Additionally the employee stated that she did not drink any water until she began to feel hot and overheated. Then she drank all of her water at once. The employee did have water and gatorade with her and was had a cooling towel on her neck but it was dry. The employee was treated and released the same day and did not require overnight hospitalization. The carrier became ill on the route at [REDACTED]. She was driving an LLV.
