On [REDACTED] At approximately [REDACTED] was in the process of delivering mail on the porch of [REDACTED] The weather was mild at the time. As I was placing the mail into the mailbox The dogs indoors noticed me and attempted to reach me by jumping through a window screen. in response I quickly moved away from the dogs and used my satchel as a barrier to create distance between myself and the dogs unfortunately one of the dogs managed to bite me. The owner of the dog promptly intervened to restrain them. I immediately contacted both shop steward and my supervisor and rushed to the er
