City carrier was walking toward to [REDACTED] as the dog ran out from side door when customer was ready to leave. Carrier asked if the dog was friendly and they stated kind of. [REDACTED] decided to back up as the dog still went forward to him. He tried to push the dog away with his mails and [REDACTED]. he did not have the dog spray as he lost it. dog bit his right forearm. The dog warning will be in the scanner.
