Purging an injection molding machine

A maintenance technician was purging [REDACTED] when he stepped forward on the catwalk platform his right foot and leg fell downward through am open space in front of the catwalk this caused the technician 's left hand to reach left to try and stop himself. His left wrist contacted an edge of the injection unit metal while falling causing a laceration to the side of his left wrist. Engineer was there and performed first aid to stop the bleeding.
