Before the incident
Employee was removing glue on crowder using power grinder to remove the glue.
What happened
Two boards doubled up on the finger joiner at the shaper infeed. Employee attempted to pull the top board off of the first board while the machine was running in the process his hand was crushed between the boards and the hold down chain. This stopped the machine and co-worker ran around and lifted the pressure from the hold down to release employee 's hand.
