The [REDACTED] was checking belt tension on the kitchen hood exhaust fan on the roof. Before checking the tension the [REDACTED] turned the power off at the disconnect located next to the exhaust fan. It was very windy on the roof and as the [REDACTED] reached across to the back belt to check it the blower wheel turned causing his finger to be pulled into the pulley. The [REDACTED] pulled his right index finger and glove free from the pulley. The [REDACTED] received a laceration at the first knuckle and another laceration at the second to the third knuckles.
