Kneeling above splice pit why another EE was using torch to apply heat shrink. EE noticed a shovel was going to tip over & hit an EE so EE reached out and down in to the hole to grab it and lost balance. EE caught self on the shovel with right hand making arm fully extended and reaching down. Had to catch all weight like that so EE wouldn’t tip in to the hole
