Before the incident
Employee was doing various packaging duties on the Side C Mezzanine. The Box Taper was not tapping the top of the boxes. Employee went over to the Box [REDACTED] to fix it.
What happened
Employee stuck his right hand on the outfeed of the Box Taper to grab the film tape and pull it out. He did not shut off the equipment and a box came through the infeed side. Once the box hit the outfeed employees hand was still there which caused it to be pinched between the Taper blade and the box. It caused a cut on right thumb and employee received stitches.
