Opening hand sanitizer supplied in the [REDACTED]

I was opening the hand sanitizer packet to use in preparation for an intermittent catheterization procedure and it squirted into my right eye. I immediately flushed my eye with a normal saline flush and returned to complete the procedure. House supervisor was notified and she escorted me to the lab eye washing station. Flushing my eye did not help and it continued to burn and be very painful when blinking my eye. I went to a local pharmacy to purchase lubricating eye drops. the eye drops relieved the pain and discomfort a bit and I returned to the floor.
