What happened
Injured worker was attempting to assist trainee load an 800 lb roll of vinyl into press unwind turret. Injured worker placed his left hand on the hoist spreader bar attempting to guide roll into roll chucks. Trainee lost control of the load and injured worker 's left hand was caught between spreader bar and machine resulting in laceration to left hand
