What happened
While cutting onions the associate cut her left thumb. Cut gloves were available but they were not being worn at the time of injury. The associate was sent to the hospital across the street at [REDACTED] with workers’ compensation authorization for treatment form filled out. At [REDACTED] the associate returned to the hotel and spoke to general manager and stated they “did not want to wait 3 hours.” General Manager asked to see her injury and immediately sent the associate back to seek medical attention. At [REDACTED] The associate left the hotel again and stated the plan was to seek medical treatment at an Urgent Care. Care was given at Fastmed Urgent Care [REDACTED]
