Employee was going to place a mechanical hose in a packaging receptacle for shipment.

The hose needed to be re arranged to fit in the receptacle. It had to have a zip tie cut that was on it so it could be repositioned. Employee used a box cutter rathe than a band cutter to try and cut this zip tie and the blade slipped off the zip tie and in the direction of her non cutting hand where it sliced through her protective glove into her left finger causing her to need stitches and be put on a day of restricted work.
