What happened
EE was working the [REDACTED] [REDACTED] cookoff he was in the process of helping a box truck driver back up his vehicle. EE stated that the work area where the box truck driver was parked was very congested and that he could not spot the driver on the ground level due to the porta-john’s and tents that were on both sides of box truck. EE decided to spot the driver from inside the box truck standing at the end of bed on the left-hand side. While in the process of directing the driver to back up the driver pressed the brakes and EE lost his balance while tripping over material inside box truck and fell backwards headfirst on the concrete approximately 4ft in height. The incident resulted in a closed fracture of the lumbar spine.
