What happened
The employee was in the process of TIG welding an extension onto a tool so that it could be used with new equipment. While the employee was welding the tip of the TIG welder stuck to the metal they were using for the extension. When they pulled up the torch the metal that was stuck to it contacted their welding glove and was still hot. The metal burned through the glove and contacted the employees skin leading to a 2nd 3rd degree burn near their middle of their finger.
