Before the incident
Employee was attempted to prevent a suicidal patient form self-harm.
What happened
Patient attempting self-harm employee attempted to intervene and the patient jumped out of bed hitting the employee and pushed them to the ground. Patient then grabbed the employee 's hair and slammed the employee into the wall. When employee was pushed to the ground they landed on the left elbow causing laceration.
Injury or illness
Laceration to the left elbow-first aid completed and healed. Continued soreness and pain to this site. Orthopedic evaluation diagnosis left elbow medial epicondylitis.
