What happened
Temporary employee needed a piece of shim stock cut to use to hold down the ceramic discs as they are parted from the rod. Temp went to a vertical bandsaw to cut the shim stock. The shim stock was being held improperly and got caught on the balde which pulled his hand toward the blade. The right index finger came in contact with the blade.
