An employee was conducting a die change on line 4 #4 press and manually rotating press off bottom with a tool inserted into flywheel.
What happened
An employee was conducting a die change on line 4 #4 press and manually rotating press off bottom with a tool inserted into flywheel. The employee struck their finger between the tool and transfer cylinder on the line. The employee was wearing gloves and did not initially realize that the glove had been cut. Upon removal of the glove the employee realized that they had a laceration between the knuckles of the left ring finger. The employee went to Occupational Medicine where they received 6 sutures to close the wound.
