He was having trouble dumping his load because his hydraulic pump was not functioning properly. The scope would not fully extend to let the material slide out of the bed. He got out of his truck and slammed the tailgate a few times to try and get the load out and on the last time he caught his right hand thumb between the tailgate and the side of the trailer.
