The employee lifted the boxes on the pallet adjusted the boxes then attempted to lift he pallet by hand.

Video footage shows that the employee walked around talking to co-workers for the (approximate) 15 minutes he was working prior to injuring himself. He then lifted the boxes located on the pallet adjusted the boxes then attempted to lift he pallet by hand. There was equipment available for him to use and when asked why he didn 't use the equipment he stated the pallet wasn 't very heavy didn 't think equipment was necessary.
