Employee was completing tradeshow presentation preparations.

Employee was loading boxes for a trade show approximately 12 to 15 boxes of various sizes. He lifted one particular box approximately 48 x 48 50 to 60 pounds and felt a point of discomfort in his lower back. This subsided and experienced no discomfort while driving or for several hours. [REDACTED] during the show he began to feel stiffness and discomfort. The [REDACTED] he had stiffness and pain which progressed during the day and did not improve leading to reporting the injury incident.

Lower back pain muscle spasm (routine assessments maintained this diagnosis until classifying as MSD two months after the injury incident). Pain and condition progressively increased in severity from mild to substantial requiring medical treatment beyond rest and ice.
