The employee was called to help retrieve the hopper that had dropped inside the dumpster in the process of dumping the trash
What happened
The employee was assisting a coworker to re-align the trash hopper onto its track. They began to maneuver the hopper to put it back in alignment. The affected employee had positioned himself in a tight space behind the hopper and between a set of racks. When the affected employee pushed the hopper the other employee pushed it back in a swinging motion to align the hopper tracks. However the hopper knocked the affected employee back into the set of racks and pinned him momentarily against the corner of the racks
