sampling green top tube with needle and syringe. Syringe would not fill with this needle (30g). Needle with syringe was removed from tube and safety engaged on counter
What happened
sampling green top tube with needle and syringe. Syringe would not fill with this needle (30g). Needle with syringe was removed from tube and safety engaged on counter (right hand). Needle syringe was then transferred to left hand to put in sharps container. Needle was bent out of the safety and stuck employee in left middle finger. Gloves were worn thru entire process and needle went thru glove to stick employee. Management then made aware (verbal).
