Before the incident
A landscaper was working in the irrigation department for Landscape.
What happened
A landscaper works in the irrigation dept. and he put their hand down a gopher hole attempting to remove a gopher trap and was bitten by a gopher in their left middle finger. The job coach notified a Case Manager and the Case Manager took the landscaper to be treated at the occupational clinic. The landscaper was examined given a tetanus shot and prescribed antibiotics as preventive care. The treating physician also called the CDC and it was said that the landscaper did not need to receive a rabies vaccine. The landscaper was to return the following day for his follow-up appointment.
