What happened

EE stated that when filling the [REDACTED] with orange syrup the EE was not use to the new wheels on the carts used for transporting the syrup [REDACTED]. The cart maneuvered in a way the EE was unfamiliar with and when the EE went to try and push the cart it smashed the EE 's finger between the cart handle and the leg of the smoothing kettle. EE moved from the smoothing kettle area and placed their hand over the sink until help arrived. Another operator came and got the supervisor and [REDACTED] who after examining the finger wrapped the employees ' hand and escorted them off the production floor. The nurse was called and images were sent as well. The nurse suggested calling an ambulance but the EE refused and wanted to drive themself this was oked with the nurse before proceeding to let the EE leave. No formal EE statement has been taken at this point in time. UPDATE EE called after leaving the hospital and stated that they had received stitches and was told their finger is broke. At
