Picking up [REDACTED] of the floor

Employee stated that after spine case was finished. The Nuromonitoring vendor [REDACTED] was removing needles of the patient. As per employee these needles are copper needles that resemble acutpunture needles. These needles are placed in various areas on the patient to monitor for any adverse reactions that may occurr during the procedure. While the vendor was removing the needles the employee went to pick up loose garbage of the floor at which time she felt a prick to her left 4th finger. She noticed that one of the needles must have fell to the floor and she did not realize when picking up loose garbage. Employee was able to express blood from puncture wound.
